Musing Monday's

Musing Monday's is hosted by Rebecca at Just One More Page.

Today, Rebecca asks:

"Do you have a favourite picture book, either from your own childhood, or reading to you children?"

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your opinion in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks.

This is a wonderful question. As a mom to two young daughters - I read a LOT of children's books. I love it - as do my daughters. It was hard picking favorite books based on illustrations because there are so many that are just beautiful. However, a few of our favorites are: The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, The Runaway Bunny illustrsted by Clement Hurd, Flower Fairies: Stories From the Garden illustrated by Cicely Mary Barker and Room on the Broom illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

My girls are very artistic and just as interested in the illustrations in the books as the story itself. I can barely draw a straight line with a ruler but I have a deep appreciation for the artwork and drawings of others. This selection of books is varied in the type og illustrating but all are exceptionally well done.
