Teaser Tuesday's is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading. To play along, just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR list if they like your teaser.
My teaser this week is from page 10 of Graham Moore's The Sherlockian:
Arthur laid the facts of the crime before his readers clearly, calmly and efficiently. No important detail was left out, and - yes, here was the mark of the true craftsman - not too many unimportant details were left in.
Very true - it's important to balance the amount of details. Great teasers!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, sometimes what at first may seem unimportant turns out to be significant after all.

An interesting teaser.

Great teaser! Just as in writing, if you overwhelm the reader with too many details, they start skimming -- and they might miss something important!
ReplyDeleteMy Teaser is from The Warden's Lantern.
