London
London, and all of England to be honest, is at the top of my travel-to list. It is at the top of my kids' travel wish list, as well. I am going to take steps to make a trip to London, England happen sooner rather than later.

My teaser this week is from an ARC of Shot in the Dark by Cleo Coyle which comes out on April 17, 2018:
"So what does it mean?"
"It means humanity," I said.
"More than that," Matt leaned forward. "Ubuntu is a deep-seated belief that humanity is something we owe to one another. How I act toward you is what defines me. Not what I have or what I wear but how I treat you, how I interact with you.
"In Africa it's also about sharing," I pointed out. "Generosity of spirit and community. An awareness that we're all interconnected."

I am currently reading A Shot in the Dark by Cleo Coyle and liking it quite a bit. It is an ARC and the book is fue out on April 17, 2018.

A date in Huntington Beach
My husband and I had a date in Huntington Beach today. We had amazing BBQ and went for a walk to the end of the pier. The bright sun in these pictures is deceiving because it was COLD and windy! We had such a great time, though.

Rainy days
It's been raining here since yesterday and is supposed to go through tonight into tomorrow morning. I love the rain and am so thankful when we get it because we don't get it enough. The sound of it is soothing and the smell is so clean.

"It was all but abandoned after my father married. They made their country home at Kengrove Abbey, not here."
"They did not come here because of us, you mean."
"Yes."
She hated how that old argument had hung on for years, affecting not only the generation that started it but the next one as well.
